Ingredients

1.5 oDel Maguey Vida
0.5 ozAntica Formula
0.5 ozCynar
0.25 ozLuxardo Maraschino
2 DashesCocoa Bitters

Method

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail mixing glass.
Add ice.
Stir for 30 seconds.
Pour into a chilled coupe or Nick u0026 Nora glass

Notes

The Mezcal Martinez is a riff on the classic Martinez cocktail. Richard Elgar created it and first published it in the Difford’s Guide.

It provides a smokey flavor from the Mezcal but is very well balanced from the sweet vermouth. The Cynar and Luxardo add a subtle but fantastic depth to the drink.

I highly recommend this cocktail for someone who isn’t sure about or has tried Mezcal.
