YouTube Bartenders Favorite Drinks
Favorite Cocktail - Bramble
"I gotta say the first drink to come to mind was the Bramble. When we made the video I had forgotten how much I liked it - and it became my unofficial drink of the summer. Even got a little sad when the weather started cooling off because I wanted to keep drinking them 😂"
Favorite cocktail - Bitter Grog
"It’s a cocktail I created specifically for me. I came up with it based on my current palate, that included some current trendy ingredients, and wanting to create a cocktail that hit that intersection of sour, sweet, and bitter in a simple easy to replicate format."
Favorite Cocktail - Bullet Train to Iowa
"This was my favorite cocktail I created in 2022. It has many layers of passion built into it; music, old-fashioned, and mixing flavor profiles."
Favorite Cocktail - Apricot BLVD
"Well here’s the thing. I’m a sucker for spirit forward cocktails. That’s what I have 90% of the time. I also get tired of the classics sometimes because well… I drink them quite often.
I also like to focus on the recipes not including long prep time but that a bit limitating. So when I come up a new recipe that taste completely new with ingredients we have in most home bars, it as a little « je ne sais quoi » for me.
The Apricot BLVD was exactly that. Also, the specs on paper doesn’t really work. It seems sweet, like the flavors are going all directions, but it truly works. It’s bold, fresh, fruity and yummy. 😋
So I abused of it until I ran out of Benedictine. I truly love this drink and I think it’s great for anyone who hate to dislike Fernet because I think it has that potential of making those linking it’s falloir profile."
Favorite Cocktail - Base Camp
"Reason I like it? Straightforward, easy to make, classic in style and attainable."
Favorite Cocktail - The HighFall
"Simply because I like Highballs in general and I like this combination of flavors."
Favorite Cocktail - Trinidad Especial
The “new” drink I enjoyed in 2022 is a Trinidad Especial. It was created by an Italian Bartender back in 2008. It’s awesome because it uses 1 full oz. of Angostura bitters. I really enjoyed its burst of flavors of baking spices in a sour cocktail.
It also was the drink the inspired the creation of the more famous Trinidad Sour the year later. Giuseppe Gonzalez of New York’s Clover Club Bar would create a modern classic, the Trinidad Sour, using this drink as his jumping off point.
Favorite Cocktail - Key Lime Pie
My favorite cocktail of 2022 has to be the Key Lime Pie from Double Chicken Please in NYC.
It was a cocktail that tasted exactly like Key Lime Pie. And we got it with a cocktail called "Cold Pizza" that tasted exactly like cold Pizza.
It was weird, it pushed the boundaries of what a cocktail can be, and it challenged me.
Favorite Cocktail - S'mores Old Fashioned
Favorite Cocktail - Winter Mezcal Mule
"Inspired by Vino’s winter mule video… but I swapped the vodka for mezcal because all year, I’ve been obsessed with Mezcal Mules!"
Favorite Cocktail - Irish Coffee
"I’d say the Irish Coffee was my favourite discovery.. I’ve had it before but never a decent one.. revisited it and damn, I’ve been missing out all these years! 😂
Not necessarily my favourite drink.. but my greatest rediscovery.. 🤔"
Favorite Cocktail - Sunflower
I'm going to have to go with the "Sunflower". When Russia invaded Ukraine, I found several ways to show my support for the Ukrainians. This cocktail was one of them. This was a special video for me as well!!
Favorite Cocktail - Coconut Willie
"This summer I unearthed a long lost NYC tropical cocktail and while it wasn't necessarily my favorite, I loved it and it was probably my favorite experience discovering, mixing and drinking a cocktail."
